CLOSED | Call for Tender: Enhanced Participation of Women in EU Shipping – research and awareness raising

This tender is part of a social dialogue project funded by the European Union (WESS project).

The project incorporates various work strands through which the European social partners for maritime transport (ETF and ECSA) aim to contribute to an attractive, smart and sustainable working environment in the shipping sector.

The purpose of the contract is to outsource the implementation of Pillar 2 regarding the enhanced participation of women in EU shipping.

An expert or group of experts are sought to support the implementation of the priority topics for joint action identified in the social partners’ declaration of intention on enhanced participation of women in European shipping and work on:

  1. Preparation of an awareness-raising campaign of the attractive career opportunities in shipping both at sea and ashore;
  2. Research of measures to enhance recruitment and retention of women in the industry, including research on the identification of good practices;
  3. Gender policies in the workplace – including research on the identification of good practices.

Bids should be submitted by 7 June 2020 (midnight Brussels time). More information can be found in the call for tender.
