The European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF) has a vacancy for the position of Communications Officer, working under the direct responsibility of the Acting General Secretary.
The ETF represents more than 5 million transport workers in 41 countries, who keep Europe moving on land, at sea and in the air. Transport is one of the sectors most affected by European integration and also has many international employers. This means that we work on a range of fascinating and newsworthy topics, and need to ensure that we are heard by transport workers, policymakers and the wider public.
To respond better to the challenges facing Europe’s transport workers, the ETF is changing. More effective communications are a key part of this renewal. We have already taken many steps in recent years and we are ambitious about improving the impact of our outreach online, in the press and to our affiliate trade unions. Could you help us move forward with this vision?
We are ready to offer a permanent contract, with a salary paid 13.92 times a year. Extra-legal advantages include lunch vouchers of € 7 and a subscription for the local public transport. We also offer hospital insurance and a complementary pension scheme.
A detailed job description is attached. We invite any interested candidate to send a CV and short covering letter to Josef Maurer (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as possible and in any case by 31 July 2019. Only applications sent by e-mail will be considered.
