The ETF warmly welcomes the decision of Enter Air employees to join the NSZZ “Solidarność” Aviation and Ground Personnel Union (TOZPLiN).
TOZPLiN, an established and active part of the ETF family, now gains new members from one of the largest charter airlines in the European Union. This marks a major step forward for social dialogue in Polish aviation and a proud moment for all of us who believe in worker unity and collective strength. Enter Air becomes the second Polish airline, after SprintAir, where TOZPLiN members are officially represented – proving that when workers stand together, they can shape their workplace and industry for the better.
“TOZPLiN was established by aviation workers to represent and defend their rights, as well as their professional and social interests,” said ETF General Secretary Livia Spera. “Although civil aviation is a significant driver of economic growth and job creation in Europe, working conditions within the industry are declining. This affects us all, as it can have negative consequences for the quality and safety of operations. We will support these brave colleagues in their dialogue with employers.”
Growth must also benefit workers
The Polish aviation sector is booming. In the first quarter of 2025, airports in Poland handled three times more passengers than during the same period last year – an impressive 15.4% growth compared to the EU average of 4.3%.
But rapid growth comes with challenges. The ETF insists that fair working conditions, secure jobs, and responsible business practices must grow alongside passenger numbers. The people who keep planes flying and airports running deserve no less.
A call for constructive dialogue
In a letter to Enter Air CEO Grzegorz Wojciech Polaniecki, the ETF encouraged the company to engage in respectful, meaningful social dialogue with TOZPLiN representatives. “Such collaboration is vital to fostering a positive working environment and ensuring the sustainable growth of the company within the European Union market,” the letter stated.
This step also aligns with Poland’s National Action Plan for Employment 2024–2026, which prioritises the creation of high-quality jobs – something TOZPLiN members at Enter Air are ready to help deliver.
ETF and ITF stand with Enter Air workers
Amongst other efforts, this victory was made possible thanks to the funding from the ITF–ETF Central and Eastern European Organising Project – proving that with solidarity and persistence, workers’ voices grow stronger.
The ETF will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with TOZPLiN and its members at Enter Air, supporting their efforts to secure fair conditions, professional respect, and a safe future for the aviation sector.
When workers organise, they improve not only their own lives but the quality and sustainability of the entire industry. With Enter Air workers now part of TOZPLiN, that collective voice in Polish aviation just got stronger.
