Social Dialogue in the Urban Public Transport Sector in Specific Central and Eastern European Countries

The European social partners of the urban public transport (UTP) sector, the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF) and the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) collaborate together to strengthen social dialogue in Central and Eastern European Countries.

The projects ran between 2017 and 2019. There was a series of seminars organised to exchange experience and information between experts and social partners in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia.

The objective of the project was to strengthen the capacity of social partners. Furthermore, the project aimed at facilitating and developing national social dialogue. Lastly, the project aimed at improving the knowledge of the European social partners and about national concerns and demands in the countries involved.

The project received financial support from the European Union under the budget heading “Support for Social Dialogue”.
