ETF’s Executive Committee Meeting and Approved Documents – November 2023

7 Dec 2023

The ETF Executive Committee met on November 29-30, 2023, in Berlin, marking a significant gathering of unions from across Europe. During two days, several topics were discussed, namely reports on ETF’s regular projects and budget. We had the opportunity to listen to workers about the ongoing work on sustainability, equality, women and youth.

This meeting also led to the approval of several pivotal documents, now available for public access. These include:

  1. ETF EC Resolution on JSSSV & Air Serbia: This document addresses specific issues concerning JSSSV and Air Serbia.
  2. Statement of Support for Finnish Unions: A show of solidarity with Finnish unions.
  3. Statement of Support for the Right to Strike: An affirmation of the fundamental right to strike.
  4. Support for IF Metall in Collective Agreement Negotiations with Tesla in Sweden: Backing IF Metall in their efforts to secure a collective agreement with Tesla.
  5. Statement on the Fatal Train Accident in Calabria, Italy: A response to the recent tragic train accident in Calabria.

These documents reflect the ETF’s commitment to addressing critical issues affecting transport workers across Europe and underscore the organization’s role in fostering solidarity and support among its member unions. The next meeting of the Executive Committee will take place in Brussels on June 2024.
