UPDATE – External expert for project on data collection of European maritime professionals

11 Feb 2019

The deadline to apply for this tender has been extended to 12 April.

European social partners for maritime transport, ETF and ECSA, are looking for (an) external expert(s) who will develop proposals for new methodologies to better and more coherently collect data about maritime professionals on a European level.

As was recommended by the Task Force on maritime employment and competitiveness set up by DG MOVE in 2011, the availability of comparable data on employment in the industry should be improved in order to better sustain future policy developments. The expert(s) will perform a desk research on existing data and collection systems and will complement the research with several country visits. The final report will provide ETF and ECSA with an overview of the existing systems and statistical gaps, and a proposal of a suitable methodology for obtaining comparable statistics. ETF and ECSA will be responsible for disseminating the research results. The contractor will participate in an exchange seminar gathering influential stakeholders as a final event.
