First TASCS Steering Group meeting

On 23rd February 2017 the TASCS Steering group met for the very first time after the project was formally approved by the European Commission.

The TASCS Steering group is composed of 2 members for each IWT Social Partner:

  • Michiel KONING, EBU
  • Andreas STOMMEL, EBU
  • Gerard KESTER, ESO
  • Andrea BECKSCHAFER, ESO
  • Nick BRAMLEY, ETF
  • Jacques KERKHOF, ETF

Together with the Project Secretariat:

  • Andrea ALBERTAZZI, ETF
  • Myriam CHAFFART, ETF

And the Project Research Partners:

  • Berthold HOLTMANN, DST
  • Kirsten SCHREIBERS, Intergo
  • Peter TURNBULL, Bristol University

The main aim of the Steering Group meeting was to define:

  • Define the timeschedule of the project
  • Choose the observers allowed in the project Steering Group
  • Define Administrative rules of the project
  • Assess the received bids on the tender
  • Appoint the research partner
  • Decide on a system to identify ships to be visited during the research (benchmarking)
  • Prepare the focal group meeting (speakers, guests, etc.)
