On 7 and 8 July 2016 ETF seminar was organised in Strasbourg under the title: ‘Inland waterways 2026: regulated and controlled – and also social?
Almost 30 participants from 9 EU Member States discussed the way ahead for EU Inland Waterways. A lot of initiatives are on the stove at the moment at European level that are heavily interlinked.
The ETF IWT Section aims at a competitive and sustainable transport mode at the economical, ecological and most of all at the social level. Many actors have been invited to address the seminar such as DG Move, the Rhine Commission, Aquapol and CESNI (Centre Européen des Standards pour la navigation Intérieure).
