EU Social Partners – ETF, Europêche and Copa-Cogeca – adopted a joint resolution on the situation of fisheries in the Mediterranean. We call upon the European Commission to propose balanced measures to secure a future for fishermen, coastal communities and fishing resources in the Mediterranean Sea.

Social partners ETF and CER reached a provisional agreement in the final round of negotiations at EU level for a binding agreement aimed at promoting employment of women in the sector.

On 7 June, the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER), representing railway sector employers, and the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF), representing employees, finalized the 3rd round of negotiations at EU level for a binding agreement aimed at promoting employment of women in the sector.

ETF and Europêche call on the European Commission to support Member States in developing a specific COVID-19 vaccination protocol for fishers, adapting and prioritizing access to the vaccine.

The ETF calls on MEPs to reject the European Commission’s greenwashing narrative surrounding the proposed Single European Sky reform. The proposal simplifies and oversells the potential positive effects for the environment while deliberately ignoring the reform’s adverse social impacts.
