XPO served notice under duty of vigilance law in landmark legal move

1 Oct 2019

The ITF, the ETF and the growing XPO Global Union Family of trade unions have taken action to call on XPO to comply with its duty of vigilance in relation to human rights in its supply chain. The law is French and is being used against a French company, but its reach is global because the company’s obligations apply equally to the operations of its foreign subsidiaries and to its international business relationships .

The company has three months to respond with a new ‘vigilance plan’ that includes, at least, a comprehensive mapping of its supply chain as a first step towards an adequate plan in law.

Please download from the right side the joint ITF/ETF Press Release, a briefing note on the action and the official letter to XPO. All documents are available in English, French, Spanish and Italian.
