European Commission adopts social agenda for aircrews, but it is late and incomplete

The European Commission has adopted its report on social standards in aviation. The non-binding proposals, will set the tone for EU work on aircrews. We’ve worked hard for more than one year to feed the Commission with ideas and thoughts that defend workers, and today we are concerned by the Commission’s lack of ambition.

ETF dockers show policymakers the reality of port work in Hamburg

Main purpose of the visit was to show what terminals and their workers are doing to cope with the consequences of the increasing size of ships. The event was also a good occasion for EU decision-makers to get hands-on information about the revision of the Consortia Block Exemption Regulation.

right to strike in ATC

The European Commission is encouraging member states to limit the right to strike for workers in air traffic control (ATC). This is a clear attack on a fundamental right. and also an area where the Commission has no power to intervene. ETF will not let these threats pass.
