On the day of the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union, we pledge our support to our brothers and sisters in the UK. We will continue to work cooperatively and in solidarity with all our affiliates, inside or outside the EU, to defend fair transport throughout Europe.

Thomas Cook collapse: workers need justice!
Thomas Cook may have collapsed in the UK, but it’s a European story. Companies, travel agencies, and hotels all over Europe and beyond have been affected, and around 22.000 workers are suffering from the consequences. The ETF stands in solidarity with all Thomas Cook workers and we continue to defend their interests together with our affiliates.
Viva la solidarietà! Italian unions launch joint platform for decent work in transport
The Italian government has not been speaking to transport workers or their unions. So today they will launch a joint platform for decent work in transport and then announce a massive mobilisation across the sector, under the slogan “Let’s get the country moving again!”
ETF supports train guards in the UK in their strike action to defend jobs and safety
Our affiliate union RMT is calling on workers at the UK’s South Western Railway to begin a five-day strike today. The employer provoked this action by reneging on an earlier promise to guarantee the continued presence of on-board staff, who are vital for passengers’ safety and security.
ETF supports Austrian railway workers in strike action
The Austrian railway workers organised a 2-hours long warning strike on Monday 26th November 2018 after failure of 10 rounds of negotiations for a collective bargaining agreement assuring important framework working conditions.
