Together with other European trade unionists committed to justice, human rights, and international law, we wrote to EU High Representative Kaja Kallas today regarding the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza and the ongoing actions of the Israeli Government.

European transport unions sent a powerful message of solidarity this weekend as unionists gathered at CFDT headquarters in Paris for ETF's "We Are All Equally Different" conference, culminating in a unified presence at Paris Pride. The two-day event revealed alarming new data showing widespread discrimination against LGBTQI+ transport workers, including harassment, violence, and inflexible workplace policies that fail to protect vulnerable employees.

French railway workers took the streets because the stakes could not be higher. France needs an additional €2 billion in funding by 2027 just to maintain, regenerate, and modernise its existing rail network infrastructure – not to build new lines, but simply to preserve what already exists at current performance standards. This funding crisis extends beyond France's borders, representing a fundamental challenge to Europe's sustainable transport future.
