Ukrainian unions representing millions of transport workers welcomed leaders from European and global union federations to a solidarity meeting last week.

Ukrainian Government attacks workers’ rights and unions amidst EU candidacy – ETF and ITF call on the European Commission to compel Ukraine to recall laws depriving Ukrainian workers of their collective rights and social protection.

We ask the European Commission to adopt emergency measures to alleviate the increased fuel prices’ pressure on the fisheries sector.

War always has a gender dimension. Too often, we have borne witness to gender-based violence in wars and in conflict zones. We call for an end to attacks, for peace, dialogue and justice.

ITF and ETF call for an immediate ceasefire in hostilities, for the conflict to return to the diplomatic level, and respect for international human rights and humanitarian law, following the military escalation in Ukraine.
