Fair Transport

Our affiliate union RMT is calling on workers at the UK's South Western Railway to begin a five-day strike today. The employer provoked this action by reneging on an earlier promise to guarantee the continued presence of on-board staff, who are vital for passengers' safety and security.

In just one month, thousands of workers will be converge on Brussels for a huge demo to mark the high point of our Fair Transport Europe campaign against social dumping. We will march through the city and raise our voice to demand that politicians and employers put an end to exploitation and unfair competition!

We are fighting to keep on-board staff on Europe's trains. At this meeting, numerous ETF affiliates presented their national contributions to the “You’re Welcome” campaign on the European action day of 4 October.
