How to minimise the risks that affect the reliability of the digital environment of inland navigation? What is the role of public and private actors of the sector? What can be learnt from other transport sectors, such as maritime and railways?
These are some of the questions that the CCNR workshop on Cybersecurity in IWT (Bonn, 5 September 2019) addressed.
The increasing automation and digitalisation of inland navigation expose the operation to possible cyber attacks that could seriously harm the sector. That is why these concerns have to taken in due account in the development of new technologies and integrated systems.
