Union of Hong Dockers call an end to 40 day strike

The ITF has been informed by ITF affiliate, the Union of Hong Kong Dockers (UHKD), that they have called an end to strike action which commenced on 28 March. Members of UHKD decided today, to accept a wage offer by contractors Everbest, Comcheung, Lem Wing and Pui Kee. We understand the offer also includes the contractors’ promise to further negotiate arrangements with HongKong International Terminals (HIT) to provide meal and toilet breaks, and also non-retaliation against workers who have participated in the strike. Final Regional Workshop of TU4BPT Project

On October 6th and 7th public transport unions from across Central and Eastern Europe met in Poznan for the final regional workshop of the Trade Unions for Better Public Transport project (TU4BPT).
