ETF stands in solidarity with the German Ryanair network, which bravely decided to establish a workers’ representation in one of the strongest anti-union companies in the world.

Ryanair’s decision to let go of 100 workers from its base in Brussels Zaventem will change the lives of these workers forever. They will now be forced to move entire families away from Brussels or leave the industry without any say. It is unacceptable.

The Belgian cabin crew working for the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair are on strike from today until the 24th of April, after the negotiations with Ryanair management on a new collective agreement on wages have miserably failed.

A cabin crew union B.United has just been set up in the Prague base of Ryanair, representing the workers employed directly by Ryanair, as well as the agency workers. ETF welcomes them to the union family and invites all the parties to engage in meaningful social dialogue.
