The future of Hamburg port workers should not be put at risk! ETF calls on the Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) - the world’s largest container line - to commit to preserving jobs, fair working conditions and respecting the collective agreement in case of taking the German terminal group Hamburger Hafen und Logistik (HHLA).

The ETF stands in solidarity with our Italian affiliates and rail workers' unions. We pledge our unwavering support to the workers of Trenitalia and Italo as they strive for fair working conditions and the protection of their rights.

Trade unions play a vital role in representing workers' rights and interests. They are the credible voices demanding social protection for workers: unemployment benefits, pensions, or access to healthcare. Aviation workers across Europe are saying that the chances of decent working conditions and fair pay are non-existent unless a union represents workers.

A Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) is a must within the aviation industry. Whether flight attendants, pilots, ATM workers, or ground staff, our aviation workers consider a labour agreement as the only guarantee for being treated fairly by their employers regarding working conditions, wages, job security, health, and safety.

ETF strongly condemns the fact the European Commission’s "business " approach to the Alitalia case.

The ETF lends all of its support to Finnish railway union RAU and the Finnish locomotive drivers striking in Helsinki right now to protest against government-owned railway company VR and its attempts to weaken collective agreements and working conditions.

Danish trade union 3F and the employers’ organisation Dansk Erhverv reached a national sectoral agreement covering Just Eat's Riders. But this victory is only the beginning: '3F and the European trade union movement will not stop fighting for platform workers’ rights!'

ETF shares support and solidarity for EVG’s Keolis/eurobahn railway strike in Germany.

ETF welcomes the CBA and acknowledges it as a first step in the right direction. Further positive changes are on their way as on November 7, the official negotiations for a European-wide agreement between IG River Cruise, European Barge Union (EBU) and ETF commenced. European Social Partners hope to reach a meaningful agreement by Autumn 2020.
